The historical background of this institution is closely linked to our founding organization, the National Educational and Social Development Organization (NESDO Nepal), whose invaluable contributions deserves to be acknowledged with deep respect. In 2051 B.S., under the visionary leadership of our founding Chairperson, Mr. Bishwo Prakash Prasai Thakuri, and inspired by his declaration, “Our fight against poverty in Nepal will continue as long as poverty exists,” NESDO Nepal initiated its microfinance program, guided by the vision of building a self-reliant, inclusive, and prosperous Nepal. Since its inception, the program has steadily expanded and has now successfully reached over 78,000 underprivileged families through 60 branches across 14 districts of the country. In the coming days, the institution aims to expand its branches into additional districts and extend microfinance services to communities that remain deprived of access to formal financial services

The institution will ensure strict compliance with the directives of regulatory authorities, including Nepal Rastra Bank, and uphold strong corporate governance by adhering to internal policies and standards.
